Anita Glesta has had solo exhibitions in the United States and abroad, most notably at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Krakow (MOCAK), Arthur M. Sackler Museum of Art and Archaeology at Peking University, Beijing, the Hudson River Museum, NYC, Black and White Gallery, NYC, White Box, NYC, White Columns NYC, Five Myles Gallery, NYC and others. Group exhibitions include, the New Museum Festival of Ideas, NYC, Sculpture Center, Lyman Allen Museum, CT, Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia, the Brooklyn Museum, the Queens Museum, Performance Space, Sydney, LACE Gallery, LA, Centro De Espana, Mexico City and numerous others. 
Her public art commissions include two permanent sculpture commissions the city of Sydney for the Yurong Water Gardens and the General Administration Services Art in Architecture for her permanently installed integrated landscape at the Federal Census Bureau building in Suitland, Md.
Numerous  outdoor video installations include the Royal National Theater on the Thames, London, Brooklyn Public Library, Red Hook, The Customs House at Ellis Island, Big Screen Plaza, NYC and Princeton Arts Council.  The residencies have included the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, Bogliasco Residency, Italy, Valparaiso, Almeria, Spain, ReCreate Residency, Piemonte, Italy, The space at Wooloomooloo, Sydney, Australia and Artist-in-Residence at the New South Wales University School of the Built Environment. Glesta’s  work has appeared in BOMB, Hyperallergic, Studio International, Sculpture Magazine, Art in America, The Daily News, Art Daily  and The New York Times
Grants include the New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship, New York State Council of the Arts New Media, Pollock/Krasner, Puffin Foundation and Australia Council CEAD grant. Born in Chicago,Ill Glesta lives and works in Brooklyn, New York
